Foreword:

(1) How did I learn about the Zhang Xiangqian incident?

At the end of July 2023, while in Hefei, Anhui Province, on business, I stumbled upon a popular video on Bilibili (a Chinese video-sharing website) featuring an interview with Zhang Xiangqian by a UP (uploader) majoring in physics at New York University (【56-year-old rural man: Abducted by aliens 38 years ago, core alien technology stolen】). The UP suspected that the Zhang Xiangqian incident might be real. I found it interesting and, after checking the map on my phone, realized that Lujiang County wasn’t far from Hefei, so I went there. Before going, I completely disbelieved in UFOs and aliens. (I even wrote an article in my undergraduate writing class arguing why aliens might not exist. Some of my classmates have read that article.) During the interview, I asked him many pointed questions, which he answered without getting angry. After conducting independent and in-depth investigation, I discovered many details and evidence that even Zhang Xiangqian himself didn’t seem to care about, which gradually changed my opinion. I cautiously believe that Zhang Xiangqian’s alien experience is highly likely to be true.

(2) Why didn’t I publish this article on the internet immediately after my investigation?

In 2023, Zhang Xiangqian was far less famous than he is now. The vast majority of people online believed he suffered from mental illness or was a fraud. I was well aware that publishing my interview would inevitably subject me to a barrage of insults and personal attacks. Currently, the vast majority of people do not believe in UFOs and aliens, and after in-depth investigation, I believe that many news media outlets (for various reasons) have also failed to objectively report on these topics. (This kind of topic is also taboo in academia. Coen Vermeeren, a professor of aerospace engineering at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, was dismissed by TU/d in 2017 on trumped-up charges because he firmly believed in the existence of UFOs. He posted online multiple times but received no response from the university. (His open letter on his personal website: “An Open Letter to the Rector of Delft University of Technology”, Wikipedia: Coen Vermeeren.) Furthermore, at a congressional hearing in November 2024, Luis Elizondo, a former senior Pentagon official and head of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) project, explicitly addressed this long-standing phenomenon of smear campaigns and stigmatization. (You can read his interview from last November, which revealed a great deal of information within the scope of a confidentiality agreement: https://b23.tv/WBF9D0G) ( )

After publishing this article, I indeed received a large number of threats, insults, and personal attacks. Many people inexplicably attacked my identity, education, and even appearance and clothing, demanding that I post screenshots of my academic credentials or other evidence to prove my academic qualifications. Some even threatened to delete the article. These attacks continue to this day, causing me great distress.

So, why did I knowingly publish the article? Wouldn’t it have been better to keep it a secret forever? What does Zhang Xiangqian’s matter have to do with me? The reason is that there are currently a large number of inexplicable rumors on the internet regarding the Zhang Xiangqian incident, lacking evidence or investigation. Many people are attacking each other on this topic, which I find very unsatisfactory. I initially intended to keep this interview a secret for life, but ultimately decided to publish the article at the end of September 2024. Life is very short; the current life expectancy in China is only 78.6 years. I believe it is necessary for me to tell everyone what I know, so as not to make decisions in this short life that I will regret in the future.

Main Text:

After thorough investigation, I cautiously believe that there is a high probability that this matter is true.

Many people have only seen some one-sided, hearsay information online, or only read excerpts from some of Zhang Xiangqian’s works, and have blindly made judgments without conducting in-depth investigation and analysis of the whole matter. Many video creators on the internet are also like this (especially “Lao Gao and Xiao Mo,” more than half of the content in their videos does not match Zhang Xiangqian’s descriptions; I personally suspect it is hearsay and subjective conjecture).

In September 2023, I personally went to Tongda Town, Lujiang County, Anhui Province to interview Zhang Xiangqian and his… Zhang Xiangqian’s family (at that time, Zhang Xiangqian wasn’t as famous) collected a large amount of firsthand information and thoroughly read and organized almost all materials related to the Zhang Xiangqian incident (including all his works and articles on his WeChat public account). (It’s worth mentioning that the domestic website “Tomato Novel Network” published many of Zhang Xiangqian’s works without his consent; it’s unclear who published them.)

Relevant Evidence:

Many video creators say that no evidence has been left behind regarding the Zhang Xiangqian incident, only Zhang Xiangqian’s own written memoirs. I believe this is incorrect. During my investigation, I discovered a considerable amount of direct and indirect evidence, all of which are listed below.

  1. His behavior was normal.

Many people believe that Zhang Xiangqian’s persistence over the years is due to mental abnormality or some kind of mental illness. I believe this is inaccurate. During my on-site interview, I spent a day and a night with Zhang Xiangqian and his family. He behaved completely normally, no different from an ordinary farmer from Anhui. It’s worth mentioning that he seemed extremely busy. At the time, he was simultaneously running his small supermarket and repair shop, cooking for his family, handling various errands, communicating with customers, answering questions from netizens on WeChat, and answering my interview questions. It’s fair to say he was very hardworking in supporting his family and often juggled multiple jobs. Aside from a heavy accent (Jianghuai Mandarin), his speech was fluent and logically sound. I highly doubt that someone with a mental illness or “paranoia” could do this.

His daughter did indeed suffer from a mental illness, but it wasn’t particularly severe (no hallucinations or confusion about reality). Furthermore, his son is completely normal and is a computer-related professional. His wife and other family members were also present during the interview. He also appeared perfectly normal.

Furthermore, he had visited large hospitals in Hefei multiple times for various illnesses, including drug-resistant tuberculosis, diabetes, chronic pharyngitis, and COVID-19, resulting in numerous long-term hospitalizations, but none of these had revealed a history of mental illness. Therefore, there is currently no evidence to suggest he suffers from any mental illness.

Zhang Xiangqian’s repair shop and small store, along with his living room and shop, are located under the same roof.

Zhang Xiangqian’s family ate a simple dinner: a bowl of boiled noodles with a fried egg.

The next day at noon, he insisted… He insisted on inviting me to lunch at his home, and I couldn’t refuse.

In conclusion, his behavior was completely normal. If one didn’t know about his encounter with aliens, he would appear no different from an ordinary farmer from Anhui. (While his forty-year persistence in his propaganda might seem stubborn, I believe it’s within the bounds of normalcy. He persisted while balancing his family life, earning a living, and supporting his family; it didn’t interfere with his normal life. He did, however, interrupt his propaganda efforts for several years around 2000 due to family circumstances.)

  1. A Strange Scar on the Back of His Head

Zhang Xiangqian said this scar wasn’t there before he went to outer space. In his biography, “Anhui Farmer Zhang Xiangqian’s Life Story,” he described it: “After returning, I discovered a long, narrow indentation on the back of my head, quite deep; I could fit half my index finger inside. Later, the indentation on my head slowly healed, and after 39 years, it’s basically flat now, leaving only a long, narrow scar.”

He also described: “I just returned from outer space, and I feel my skin is very oily… Not only does my skin feel oily, but all my internal organs—intestines, stomach, throat, urethra, etc.—feel very oily, constantly giving a comfortable, moisturized feeling, and making eating and bowel movements very smooth. This oiliness…” The feeling lasted for several years before slowly disappearing. Now I’ve experienced another extreme; my body feels dry and parched, especially my throat, which is constantly dry and extremely painful.

Scars on the back and front of Zhang Xiang’s head

Unfortunately, due to poverty, he never went to the hospital for any checkups (after all, it didn’t affect his life). Considering that many people abroad who have experienced similar events have developed strange scars, I think this matter deserves attention. Perhaps those who can afford it could take Zhang Xiang for a full-body MRI scan to check for any strange alien implants. If present, these could be crucial evidence. (According to some foreign sources (such as an interview with Pentagon official Luis Elizondo), these implants are usually small, covered by a layer of human tissue, and may migrate under the skin to avoid removal when stimulated.)

  1. Zhang Xiangqian’s Personally Drawn Alien Scenes

Because most online novel platforms don’t support illustrations, many people are unaware that the original novel, Adventures on Planet Goke, included numerous hand-drawn illustrations of alien scenes from Zhang Xiangqian’s memory. He described his drawing process as follows:

“Many netizens asked me what aliens look like. My Adventures on Planet Goke provides detailed descriptions, but many still wanted me to draw the men and women of Planet Goke for them to see, since words can’t replace images.”

“I live in a rural area, and there’s no one around who can draw. Naturally, I thought of asking netizens for help, hoping that skilled artists among them could draw the aliens.”

“Some netizens drew them for me. I wasn’t satisfied; they were very different from what I saw and the descriptions.”

“I tried to draw them myself, but I hadn’t studied art and hadn’t practiced drawing before. I could only draw simple line drawings…”

“How did I draw them myself (later)?”

“I drew repeatedly. First, I drew one, then covered it with a semi-transparent white paper, copied and modified it on the white paper, and then covered it with another semi-transparent paper…” Blank paper, then copy, then revise, repeating this process more than ten times. Using this method, I drew dozens of pictures, all of which felt rough and unsatisfactory. From them, I selected two better ones…” (Excerpt from Zhang Xiangqian’s WeChat official account article “Found Two Portraits That Look Very Like Goke Planet People Online”)

The following is a complete excerpt of his drawings:

(Some scenes are described at length in his book Adventures on Goke Planet, and will not be repeated here.)

Men and women on Goke Planet

(Note: This is just one type of the many intelligent alien beings he described. He…) In Adventures on Planet Gok, numerous alien intelligent beings of various forms are described. He also provides extremely detailed descriptions of the appearance and various details of the “Gok people,” which will not be repeated here.

The main street of Planet Gok

“Some houses have no doors or windows at all; some houses float alone in the air, without any support below. Some houses high in the sky are inverted triangular in shape, some are very tall, seemingly in space. Above some houses float huge, possibly their writing, similar to English, without any connection to the houses.” (Excerpt from Adventures on Planet Gok)

The geostationary satellite launching an “artificial field” on Planet Gok

“…The main equipment is the artificial field generator above our planet. This generator, like the geostationary satellites above your Earth, rotates synchronously around our planet. Our planet also rotates, but the artificial field generator is much larger than your Earth’s satellites. The artificial field launch center is like your Earth’s geostationary satellite; we have nine such launch centers on Planet Gok. Other small planets nearby have six.” (Excerpt from Adventures on Planet Goke)

The Countryside of Planet Goke

“This land is iron-red, probably because of its high iron oxide content. Everywhere you look, there are all kinds of plants, herbs and large trees, and all sorts of strange flowers and grasses. Green is the dominant color, interspersed with white, yellow, and red flowers, creating a vibrant and colorful scene.” (Excerpt from Adventures on Planet Goke)

The “Artificial Launch Center” of Planet Goke, a Huge Silver-Gray Satellite Integrating Numerous Functions

“Even during the day, I could see a silver-gray satellite… But when I got there, I realized that the artificial launch center was actually enormous; you couldn’t see anything inside. The artificial launch center consisted of many exquisitely crafted metal rooms connected together, mainly in lead-gray and silver-gray. The rooms had no light bulbs or anything like that; the walls emitted a soft light. But I didn’t see the virtual houses common on Planet Goke. ‘Wow, this is huge, it’s like being on another planet…’ I exclaimed.” (Excerpt from Adventures on Planet Goke)

An Alien Race on Planet Goke

“Many of the people here have flat eyes and faces, without any sunken areas. Their black pupils are shaped like the capital letter H. When they look at people, black stripes move up and down and left and right, giving a very oppressive and terrifying feeling.” (Excerpt from Adventures on Planet Goke)

“Purple Swamp”

“There are many dirt paths on the ground, shaped like field ridges, forming concentric circles that enclose patches of swamp. The swamp is a deep purple. Numerous small holes are densely distributed on it, each about 50 centimeters in diameter. Around each hole, a ring of mud rises, appearing a pale purple. (Excerpt from Adventures on Planet Goke)

It’s worth mentioning that I was skeptical of his extraterrestrial experiences. Therefore, during the interview, I repeatedly asked Zhang Xiangqian to draw a scene from one of his works on paper and pen in front of me. (Even if he said his drawing wasn’t good, I insisted he draw it.) To my surprise, he actually drew the scene I asked him to draw without hesitation (albeit a rather rudimentary one). The complete record is as follows:

Three-dimensional images on the heads, feet, and shoulders of Goke people when they walk.

“I also noticed a phenomenon: regardless of gender, many people have a three-dimensional image floating on their shoulders or heads when they walk. The images are incredibly varied; some resemble small animals, some look like text, some resemble complex machines, some are indistinguishable and their type is unknown, and some patterns are constantly changing.” (Excerpt from Adventures on Goke Planet)

The Turtle-like Animals in the Lake of Goke Planet

“On the grass, we saw animals similar to turtles on Earth, densely packed together sunbathing. When they saw us, many began to flee. I saw they had long tails.” (Excerpt from Adventures on Goke Planet)

It’s worth mentioning that this was the first picture I asked Zhang Xiangqian to draw during the interview, because the original description was very vivid, and I guessed he might remember it (if it’s true). Unexpectedly, he immediately drew me a creature clearly different from turtles or soft-shelled turtles, with many distinct details.

The Javelin Fish on the Seabed of Goke Planet

“Later, I saw a small, silvery-white fish resting on a rock on the seabed. This fish was very special, seemingly artificially created, with very sharp teeth. I tried to approach it… Suddenly, one of the fish’s teeth shot out rapidly, followed by a line, striking the back of my bio-submarine. The fish then quickly…”

“Quickly retracting its teeth.” (Excerpt from Adventures on Goke Planet)

A shrimp-like creature on the seabed of Goke Planet

“Suddenly, many bright red dots swam rapidly towards us and crashed onto our shark-like biological submarine. I looked closely, and these bright red dots were carried by a shrimp-like creature.” (Excerpt from Adventures on Goke Planet)

“Snake-men” on the seabed of Goke Planet

“These snake-men have human-like faces and senses. Their eyes are particularly long, with the corners turned up at a 45-degree angle. The pupils are small, but they have a sly, bright look. Their mouths and noses are extremely small, and they have many soft, fleshy tubes on their heads. Their faces give off an extremely evil feeling.” (Excerpt from Adventures on Goke Planet)

“Fish-man” face on the seabed of Goke Planet (he drew it three times)

“Except for the large eyes, the nose and mouth are very small. The contours of the face are not obvious, and the eyes are very clear. However, the corners of the eyes turn upwards, giving a very evil and bewitching feeling.” “(Excerpt from Adventures on Goke Planet)

Trees and Other Plants on Goke Planet

“The trees on the ground are of a very limited variety, with large leaves bearing many parallel stripes. They are a vibrant yellow-green, and there are no withered leaves. The grass on the ground mostly has large, round leaves, all in a vibrant color; there are no withered leaves, and no thin, pointed-leaved grasses.” (Excerpt from Adventures on Goke Planet)

Three “Long, Horizontally Extending” Buildings, Two Nearby and One Far Away

“The architecture on this planet is a bit strange; the houses stretch out very long horizontally. I think perhaps the planet’s gravity is weak, and objects weigh less on it; otherwise, such buildings would be destroyed by the planet’s gravity.” (Excerpt from Adventures on Goke Planet)

I witnessed his drawing process firsthand and couldn’t help but wonder: if these events were the product of a delusional person with a mental illness or simply fabricated by someone, could he have drawn them so quickly? (When I asked him to draw, he was simultaneously busy with his small shop and making a phone call to process a document. He didn’t even refer back to his original text; he almost instantly picked up his pen and drew it for me.) Or perhaps the events were real? I don’t know the answer.

  1. Verifiable Events in the Work

I believe Zhang Xiangqian’s most important and credible work is his autobiography, An Introduction to the Life of Zhang Xiangqian, a Farmer from Anhui. Its importance may even surpass Adventures on Goke Planet because almost all of its events are verifiable (for some reason, many people completely ignore this work). I strongly recommend that everyone read this work first; it records Zhang Xiangqian’s life experiences from childhood to the present. His autobiography (especially the events of the 40 years since his return from Planet Gork) contains numerous illustrations that can serve as evidence. (It is worth mentioning that in 1985, China’s per capita GDP was only $294, lower than that of India and Kenya. At that time, he had no access to the various high technologies available today.)

Only about the first 11 chapters of “The Biography of Zhang Xiangqian, a Farmer from Anhui” are his autobiography; the rest are his daily notes and essays. I think reading only the first 11 chapters is sufficient. (Many of his works are a mixture of various literary styles.) Unfortunately, Zhang Xiangqian is currently 57 years old, both his parents have passed away, and only his wife and daughter have been interviewed and can provide corroborating evidence.

The following are some examples of verifiable events:

(1) Pen patent:

“After returning from the alien planet, I was deeply shocked and vaguely realized that alien technology could cause earth-shattering changes on Earth. At that time, I frantically publicized this matter to the outside world.” He wrote letters to relevant units frantically over several decades, estimated to be thousands of letters, but only received a few replies, mostly cold and indifferent statements like “this matter has nothing to do with them.” Due to the long-term writing, his right middle finger became deformed, and he also applied for a patent for a new type of fountain pen. (Excerpt from “An Introduction to the Life of Zhang Xiangqian, a Farmer from Anhui”)

This patent can indeed be found on the official website of the Patent Office, dated 1997, with patent number 96205531.X:

(2) Replies from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the University of Science and Technology of China:

A reply from the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences to Zhang Xiangqian in 1999:

Comrade Zhang Xiangqian, our institute is not a newspaper or publication unit, nor does it represent anyone… The acceptance or rejection of a manuscript is entirely the decision of the newspaper or journal’s editor-in-chief. What right do we have to interfere with their work?

If the editor-in-chief thinks the manuscript is acceptable, of course they will find experts to review it. If the manuscript does not meet the journal’s requirements or is too low in quality, of course it will be rejected. What does this have to do with our work? This is a matter of common sense. It applies both internally and externally; don’t you understand this basic common sense?

Please go to the library and look through the call for papers for each journal. It will state the nature of the journal, what kind of articles it requires, the required level, etc.

Furthermore, from a scientific perspective, your article is incorrect. What does it mean that “historically, the definition of time has always been that of philosophers, not physicists”? Space and time are fundamental physical concepts; other physical concepts (such as velocity and acceleration) are based on them.

The common concept of time is nothing more than the time interval between two events—one event occurring earlier or later than the other, or occurring simultaneously. All concepts of time are measured using a standard time; the motion and change of any real object can serve as a standard clock, such as a mechanical clock, atomic clock, or biological clock.

Kant’s concept of time is an idealist worldview, while Newton’s concept of time is a mechanical materialist view of time; its transformations obey Galilean law. With slight variations, the time view of special relativity is a materialist worldview and obeys the Lorentz transformation.

In a gravitational field, spectral lines undergo redshift. General relativity predicts a gravitational redshift of 2.12 × 10⁻⁶ for the solar spectrum. All our measurements of the redshift of light show a value of 2.12 × 10⁻⁶, thus proving the correctness of general relativity.

We do not study celestial bodies or philosophy. If you wish to consult experts in these areas, please write to the Department of Astronomy (Institute) at Peking University or the Department of Philosophy at Peking University. Please return the original document.

This is in reply.

Wishing you a Happy Spring Festival

(3) Self-taught math and physics books:

Photo taken during the interview. This book is very likely the one his cousin gave him, as mentioned in his autobiography.

Many of the old books are almost worn out, and there are many notes written inside; the handwriting is indeed his. Therefore, his statement in his autobiography that he tried hard to find textbooks that were difficult to obtain in rural areas to study math and physics is true.

In conclusion, Zhang Xiangqian did indeed begin to vigorously promote his extraterrestrial visit at least before 1997, but it failed to gain attention.

Furthermore, the book mentions the death of Zhang Xiangqian’s father and mother, running a small rural shop, the demolition of the rural shop, later going to Hefei to run a takeout shop, and later contracting lung disease. His autobiography includes numerous supporting photos detailing his recovery from tuberculosis and subsequent COVID-19, which aligns with his family’s accounts. Therefore, I believe the biography of Zhang Xiangqian, an Anhui farmer, is highly credible.

It’s worth mentioning that in 2023, Cheng Qian, a student at Shandong University of Arts, interviewed Zhang Xiangqian and filmed a documentary, “I Went to Another Planet,” which won Best Documentary at a small American film festival. Since the director was not a fan of Zhang Xiangqian (he went simply to film), I believe the documentary is largely credible. In the film, Zhang Xiangqian and the director visit the place he lived in 1985, where he accurately points out the location of his old house and details of his arrest. (This documentary is currently available for a paid viewing on Bilibili; those interested can…) (Go check it out.)

Zhang Xiangqian Incident — “I Went to an Alien Planet”

www.bilibili.com/video/BV1cT421Y7aU/

So, is “The Adventures on Goke Planet” credible?

Because Sina Weibo deleted Zhang Xiangqian’s account, much of his information is unverifiable. The earliest version of “The Adventures on Goke Planet” that can be found online is from 2011, titled “The Detailed Account of Anhui Farmer Zhang Xiangqian’s Encounter with Aliens.” He later changed the title to “Boy’s Alien Adventure,” and then to the current “The Adventures on Goke Planet.” The earliest version currently available online is as follows:

The Detailed Account of Anhui Farmer Zhang Xiangqian’s Encounter with Aliens

www.lxxsd.com/Article.asp?ClassID=107& id=8951

I’ve compared various versions; the key plot descriptions are consistent, but some details differ. Furthermore, the newer versions do indeed add many new plot points. These plot points are concentrated in chapters 30-40 of The Adventures on Goke Planet, and they are almost all extremely thrilling and terrifying. Perhaps this explains why he didn’t dare write these things down before.

It’s worth mentioning that Zhang Xiangqian is still constantly recalling and organizing the content. His explanation for this is:

“On Earth, when someone travels and recalls their trip, the memories usually appear in chronological order, like a movie playing in their mind. But my memories of this trip are discontinuous, and the chronological order may have been disrupted. I don’t know which events happened first and which happened later. It’s like someone looking at a large number of pictures instead of watching a continuous movie.” “(Excerpt from The Adventures on Goke Planet)

“Some netizens asked me, ‘Did your body go there, or did your spirit [that is, your consciousness] go to the outer planet?’ I’ve also thought about this question. Many of my experiences and feelings on the outer planet were probably from my real body. I think the difference between dreams and real experiences is huge. Although some details are hazy in my memory, others are unforgettable and I remember them very vividly. In the first few years, my memories were very clear in my dreams, and I could recall many details. In particular, I remember many of their physics and mathematical equations. I vaguely knew these were important, so I wrote them down in a small notebook.” (Excerpt from “An Introduction to the Life of Zhang Xiangqian, a Farmer from Anhui”)

I believe this reduces the credibility of the work to some extent. (Although many UFO sightings abroad have described similar experiences of memory confusion, and much of the foreign material was even obtained through later hypnosis of the individuals involved.) In an interview, I asked Zhang Xiangqian: Of the various versions of “The Adventures on Goke Planet,” which version is closest to the actual situation at the time? He told me that the latest version is the closest to the reality of 1985, and it’s also the version he tried to describe as objectively as possible.

I attempted to directly analyze the text. I noticed that among all of Zhang Xiangqian’s works, several are entirely fictional novels (by himself…) He calls it a “romance novel.” After reading it, I felt it was utterly awful, completely befitting his junior high school education. However, his descriptions of real-life events (such as his autobiography and rural anecdotes) were surprisingly simple and sincere, and quite well-written. It’s worth mentioning that The Adventures on Planet Goke is almost certainly Zhang Xiangqian’s best work. If viewed simply as science fiction, it’s filled with incredibly rich settings and amazing plots, a world apart from his “romance novels.” Furthermore, during my conversations with him, I found him to be rather dull and with a rather ordinary imagination. I completely disbelieve that his imagination and writing skills are sufficient to create something like… This is science fiction at this level. So, does this mean that The Adventures on Planet Goke might be real?

(The following two paragraphs were added in 2025) Zhang Xiangqian’s home in Lujiang County got broadband internet access around 2011 (he had previously complained several times about the slow installation, delaying his promotional efforts). The first detailed account of his extraterrestrial experiences that can be found online is also from 2011. Therefore, it’s currently impossible to determine whether he conceived of it in 2011, or whether he had it before but only released it in 2011 due to objective limitations. (Considering his impatient personality, he seems eager to release information quickly, so I personally suspect it’s…) The latter. (However, I lack concrete evidence.)

During my interviews in 2023, many people claimed to have heard Zhang Xiangqian recount his extraterrestrial experiences in the last century (including many who opposed Zhang Xiangqian, a point I believe is noteworthy). However, these claims lacked concrete physical evidence, and the recollections of those involved were often vague; therefore, I did not adopt this viewpoint in my initial article. Recently, however, I discovered a Bilibili (Bilibili is a Chinese video sharing website) content creator who, while not supporting Zhang Xiangqian, explicitly claimed to have heard of his extraterrestrial experiences in the last century, even explicitly stating that Zhang Xiangqian had sent letters to universities in the last century. This content creator’s recollections and descriptions are clear, which I believe is highly significant. 【Amateur Scientist or Genius? Zhang Xiangqian, an Anhui Farmer from Outer Space】

  1. Numerous Descriptions of Extraterrestrial Technology

“Adventures on Planet Goke” is filled with numerous incredible and advanced technological descriptions. I don’t believe a farmer with only a junior high school education could have imagined such things. I think even under today’s conditions, it would be very difficult for a farmer living in a rural town to come up with these ideas, let alone in 1985. Here is a summary of all of them (I will add any omissions):

(1) An interstellar spacecraft capable of flying at speeds approaching the speed of light (hereinafter referred to as a flying saucer). Its flight principle is to change the relative mass of the flying saucer, making its mass close to 0, thereby enabling it to move at speeds approaching the speed of light. (Zhang Xiangqian believes that mass m is a quantity that changes with t, not a constant. Furthermore, he believes that the speed of light c is also a variable; he says c is a vector, its magnitude remains unchanged but its direction can change.) He collected… During the visit, it was stated that the flying saucers of Planet Gok rely on neutron energy (nuclear energy?) to drive a large number of charged particles to accelerate along a circular tube, thereby generating a gravitational field that puts the flying saucers in a special state (which he calls the “excited state”).

(2) The Gok people use the “time elapsed after creating the flying saucer” as the basis for classifying cosmic civilizations. If a civilization has created a flying saucer after a thousand years, it is called a thousand-year civilization; after ten thousand years, it is called a ten-thousand-year civilization. The Gok people consider themselves to be only a thousand-year civilization. (This classification method is significantly different from our proposed “Kalshov index”.)

(Added in 2025) Zhang Xiangqian said that they believe the relationship between the level and quantity of civilizations in the universe presents a “pyramid” shape distribution. Highly developed civilizations at the million-year or even hundred-million-year level are very rare. The vast majority of civilizations in the universe are primitive and backward, and have not formed their own civilizations even after a long period of development.

Their own scientific system. The Gokks have great respect and fear for civilizations more advanced than themselves, but they look down on civilizations less advanced than themselves (such as human civilization).

The Gokks say that these advanced civilizations are already very wary of them, but they are not wary of backward civilizations like human civilization. Because Zhang Xiangqian had contact with the more advanced civilization “Fog People” in his childhood, they hope to study and try to obtain information about the “Fog People” from Zhang Xiangqian.

(3) “Artificial Field”. The Gokks have an extremely deep understanding of the fundamental forces and fields of physics, thus they can create an artificial force field (which Zhang Xiangqian calls an “artificial field”), giving it the desired properties.

(4) Passing Through Walls. The Gokks can emit an artificial field that allows people or objects to pass through each other. Zhang Xiangqian says the principle is that electrons and the atomic nucleus in an atom occupy only a small part of the atomic space, so through a special artificial field, two objects can pass through each other (shielding electromagnetic force?). Zhang Xiangqian said that in 1985, the Gok Star people used this method to carry him away from his home through a wall (the original text provides an extremely detailed description of the entire “wall-passing” process).

“When I came into contact with the wall, the earthy smell of the wall left a particularly deep impression on me. The feeling of passing through the wall was that every molecule of the wall passed through my body evenly, rather than the kind of wall that cracks open and allows you to squeeze through. Also, when a person passes through the wall, they feel countless tiny grains of sand gently rubbing against their body, accompanied by a slightly pleasant feeling. The speed of passing through the wall is not very fast, about the same as the speed of walking normally.” (Excerpt from “Adventures on Gok Planet”)

(5) “Cold Welding.” Unlike cold welding on Earth, Zhang Xiangqian explained that the Gok Star people used an artificial field to fuse two materials together directly at the atomic level, resulting in a weld without any seams on the surface of the welded part. Items and flying saucers on Gok Planet are all welded using this method. (He called it “cold welding.”)

(6) Using “Artificial Fields” to Move Objects at Near-Light Speed Zhang Xiangqian explained that the light emitted downwards from the UFOs wasn’t light, but rather an artificial field that could rapidly move objects within it into the UFOs. He even claimed that the planet Gok possessed a global-scale artificial field launch center (a giant satellite) capable of connecting to the computers of everyone on Earth, allowing individuals to freely “teleport” themselves or other objects. The Gok inhabitants widely used this method to replace public transportation and daily travel (Zhang Xiangqian called this mode of transportation the “Global Mobility Network”).

“At that moment, I suddenly saw a strange, snow-white beam of intense light sweeping down from the sky towards the ground, like thick layers of silver powder being sprinkled on the ground. This beam of light felt very dense, with an extremely high density, and it extended forward segment by segment as it shot out, and contracted segment by segment as it returned. Objects and the ground in the areas illuminated by the light were clearly visible, but there was no scattering light around them, and areas not illuminated were completely invisible. This is a significant difference from the intense light we usually see, which has scattering light. This dense beam of light shone into the air without a single bright column, yet when this dense light swept across tree branches, the branches were clearly visible.” (Excerpt from Adventures on Planet Goke)

Furthermore, they also used this “global movement network” to enforce the law and maintain social order, quickly teleporting conflicting parties apart.

(7) “Virtual” buildings and furniture created using artificial repulsive forces. Zhang Xiangqian described the planet Goke as having enormous UFO warehouses and various massive buildings, but lacking any support structures similar to those on Earth; some tall buildings also extended horizontally for a considerable distance, seemingly defying gravity. He later learned that these were all “virtual,” artificially created repulsive forces forming wall-like objects with added colors and effects, feeling like pressing the same magnetic poles of a magnet together with both hands. Even the furniture in Goke’s homes was “virtual,” appearing or disappearing instantly. (Note: Zhang Xiangqian’s use of “virtual” to describe real objects created in this way is merely a way of expressing himself.) He believed that the more advanced a civilization, the higher its degree of “virtualization,” and the more “virtualized” products would appear in society.

(8) Solar Energy Convergence Receiver. The artificial field launch center on Goke possesses a device capable of converging a large area of stellar energy onto a giant flat plate for efficient reception.

(9) Global Weather Control System. The Gokks use solar receivers to precisely control the solar radiation received by each region, thereby controlling the global climate to maintain suitable temperatures and prevent natural disasters. Their everyday clothing is also “virtual.”

(10) A “virtual” computer for everyone’s use. Zhang Xiangqian says that the Gokks can operate personal computers at any time through a virtual screen, but the computer’s processor and other modules are centrally located in an artificial field launch center (a giant satellite), and each person only operates the screen. He believes this method could replace mobile phones on Earth in the future.

(11) Wireless energy transmission technology using artificial fields. The Gokks wirelessly transmit energy in this way.

(12) Artificial field scanning technology. Zhang Xiangqian says that the Gokks use this artificial field, rather than photons or electrons, to achieve extremely high scanning precision. He calls this artificial field operated by a high-performance computer an “artificial information field.” This scanning technology allows for extremely precise surgery without incisions and also enables high-precision brain scanning, thereby reading and modifying memories. Furthermore, after long-term research, the Gokks have summarized the “original root code of humans,” representing the unmodifiable part of a living organism’s (the Gokks’) memory. Modifying it would produce extremely serious side effects.

(13) Human Replication Factories. The Gokks possess massive human replication factories used to back up their bodies at any time, copying the retrieved memories into them to achieve “immortality.” The bodies produced by their replication factories retain their original appearance (for ease of social interaction), but their structure is extremely simple. Many internal systems, such as the digestive system, have been eliminated (because they believe that the more complex the body’s systems, the more diseases it may suffer from). The Gokks rely entirely on the Global Sports Network for daily nutritional supplementation. Zhang Xiangqian said they are small in stature but exceptionally strong and energetic, “like a super-powerful little engine.” Because the Gokks have memory backups, they are not afraid of death; they believe that the loss of knowledge caused by death is significant for a society.

The human bodies they produce are also optimized:

“The body type you see is the result of our long-term, repeated research and practice. It is the optimal body type, suitable for the gravitational environment and other physical and chemical environments of our planet Goke.” (Excerpt from Adventures on Goke Planet)

It is worth mentioning that the Goke people’s method of copying memories to revive themselves does not seem to be a complete physical copy, but rather a concept similar to “indistinguishability” in cryptography: if the person whose memories are copied cannot distinguish between the two different selves, then the copy is considered successful.

“I indeed demonstrated an incredible scene. One moment I appeared inside the house, standing and talking with Gabon, Norton, Vili, and Sudal, and the next moment I suddenly appeared outside the house, watching another me standing and talking with Gabon, Norton, Vili, and Sudal.” (Excerpt from Adventures on Goke Planet)

Zhang Xiang later said on his WeChat public account that this is similar to logging into the same WeChat account on two different computers on Earth, with the user not noticing the difference.

(14) AI Technology. The AI on Planet Gok is extremely advanced, capable of equipping each person with an AI assistant to help complete almost all tasks. Their AI can fluently translate various Earth languages, even being intimately familiar with dialects, allusions, and witty sayings. They also possess a high level of understanding of Earth’s diverse cultures and details.

(15) “Virtual Humans.” Some Gok inhabitants have abandoned their physical bodies, directly associating their consciousness stored in computers with a computer-generated avatar to participate in social life. Zhang Xiangqian calls these “Light Virtual Humans.”

(16) “Information Mud.” A combination of micro-nanobots that moves using a global motion network. Gok inhabitants use large numbers of micro-nanobots combined together to simulate the human body for remote communication. (Zhang Xiangqian described it as “a milky white, extremely fine gelatinous substance,” which he called “information mud.”)

“I indeed saw a red square frame. I touched the red dot with my hand, and suddenly a box emerged. I saw that inside was a milky white, extremely fine gelatinous substance that suddenly became active, flowing onto the ground, and then quickly transformed into a person.” (Excerpt from Adventures on Planet Goke)

(17) “Time-Space Refrigerator.” Because the speed of time’s passage is relative, the Goke people have deeply utilized this principle of relativity to create a device that can control the internal flow of time, making the internal flow of time many times slower or faster than the outside. (Zhang Xiangqian called it a “time-space refrigerator.”) This “refrigerator” is not used to store food (because the Goke people do not need to eat), but is widely used for various scientific research purposes, such as accelerating simulation calculations.

“Our method is to use an artificial field to irradiate the interior of the time-space refrigerator, making time in that space different, as if time has been frozen. Food placed here for one minute might have passed for several years, even thousands or tens of thousands of years outside.” (Excerpt from Adventures on Planet Goke)

It is worth mentioning that the capabilities of this “refrigerator” are also limited:

“‘Why isn’t it that when we experience a thousand years, only a few seconds pass inside? Then the people inside might not need nutrients?’ I (Zhang Xiangqian) continued to ask.

“‘This is because the greater the time difference between inside and outside the time-space refrigerator, the more energy is required, and the equipment needs to be larger, and the system more unstable.’” (Excerpt from Adventures on Planet Goke)

(18) Views on Time. The Goke people believe that time is merely a perception of things by the observer, not an objective reality in the universe.

“In my view, the universe is composed of objects and the surrounding space; nothing else exists. There is no third thing that coexists with it. Everything else is just a description by us humans of the movement of objects and the movement of the space around them.” “(Excerpt from Chapter 38, ‘Meeting the Scientific Giants of Gok Planet,’ of Adventures on Gok Planet)

It’s worth mentioning that they believe the most brilliant scientist in Earth’s history is Galileo (not Einstein) because Galileo proposed that ‘the physical world perceived by our five senses is illusory; what truly exists is the geometric world behind it.’ They were very surprised by this, believing Galileo’s views were ahead of his time.

(Added in 2025) Regarding this claim about Galileo, I couldn’t find a similar expression on the entire Chinese internet. Zhang Xiangqian couldn’t cite Galileo’s original words during the interview, only saying that the Gok Planet people told him. After the interview, I initially thought Zhang Xiangqian had fabricated it. However, later, while reviewing Galileo’s manuscripts and original works, I unexpectedly discovered many similar expressions (these works have almost never been translated into Chinese and disseminated). Galileo said in Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief World Systems, ‘The senses are often deceived; therefore, we should not rely on them alone.’ In *Dialogues Concerning Two New… As stated in *Sciences*, “Where the senses fail us, reason must step in.” It is now certain that Galileo did indeed express similar views multiple times in his works. Considering that Zhang Xiangqian was completely ignorant of foreign languages, as were his family members, and that I couldn’t find anything foreign in the entire Lujiang County, this is quite surprising.

(19) Predicting the Future. The Gokstar people can use high-performance computers to simulate and predict the future. It’s worth mentioning that their predictions are also based on probability theory, not 100% accurate.

(20) Learning Method. The Gokstar people don’t need to learn through lectures; instead, they directly “scan” knowledge into their brains. The effect is also limited; they cannot scan in too much knowledge at once:

“We will use artificial field scanning technology to scan all of this knowledge into your brain. When you need this knowledge later, it will naturally jump out of your mind. Our design won’t allow all this knowledge to appear in your brain at once; otherwise, your brain couldn’t handle it.” “(Excerpt from Adventures on Planet Goke)

(21) Entertainment. The Goke people spend a significant portion of their daily lives on entertainment. Their various entertainment venues and “virtual” entertainment devices are extremely advanced, offering a wealth of AI-assisted content that provides astonishing experiences, even including content that allows one to experience Earth’s cultural life. This content left a very deep impression on Zhang Xiangqian, and almost half of the 170,000 words in his Adventures on Planet Goke describes these aspects.

(22) Social Structure. The Goke people are immortal, and their total population has remained constant for a long time. They have no families, no long-term partners, and do not have children; each individual is highly independent. It is worth mentioning that there are many different alien races on Planet Goke. Regarding some races, Zhang Xiangqian describes them as follows:

“They are all extremely dissolute, unrestrained, arrogant, and fierce. Some of their fierceness is evident from their appearance, but you will never see a single one of them with a kind or melancholic expression.” “They are oblivious to life and death, unafraid of death, and therefore lack any appreciation or respect for life.

They do not need to work, do not need to support their families, have no pressure in life, are not bound by social morality or law, are not disciplined by parents, relatives, or family education, and are not constrained by marital relationships. Therefore, they can be so arrogant.” “(Excerpt from Adventures on Planet Goke)

(23) Power Structure. There are no countries or supreme rulers on Planet Goke. Social governance and management are governed by various algorithms (which Zhang Xiangqian calls “protocols”). These protocols are managed by top scientists, who do not possess absolute power. (In Adventures on Planet Goke, numerous social governance protocols and institutions with different names and functions appear, mutually constraining and supervising each other so effectively that the Goke people cannot clearly identify the supreme governing body of their planet.)

They believe that the most capable group of scientists on their planet are mathematicians because they believe that while physics research has an upper limit, mathematical research has no upper limit. Their planet’s mathematicians use highly complex cryptography as a certain entry threshold.

“The virtual leaders on the information network are essentially artificially created intelligence, a kind of algorithm…”

The law, it is the various algorithms that control and dominate our planet. Who creates and possesses these algorithms? Mathematicians! There is no doubt that mathematicians are the true controllers of our planet. …Mathematicians are terrifying. For example, they form a circle, control resources, and if you want to join their circle, you must decipher the access codes they set… These codes are various algorithms. Some of these algorithms are designed by them, while others exist naturally and are discovered by others; they are extremely frightening, and many geniuses cannot even begin to understand them.” (Excerpt from Chapter 28, “The Leaders of Goke Planet,” of Adventures on Goke Planet)

(24) Currency System. The currency on Goke Planet is not issued by a national entity, but is controlled by an algorithm (“protocol”) and is entirely digital, which Zhang Xiangqian calls “wealth value” (he was surprised by the later emergence of Alipay and WeChat, saying he didn’t expect money on Earth to become digital so quickly). Each Goke Planet inhabitant receives a fixed amount of money regularly for their living expenses. The vast majority of Goke Planet inhabitants do not work daily, but spend a lot of time consuming for entertainment. Ordinary people can earn extra money by doing creative work. Only a few top scientists engage in truly serious work. (Zhang Xiangqian said they recognize…) (It would only cause trouble for ordinary people with average abilities; it’s better not to do it at all.) It’s worth mentioning that the Gokians say many civilizations more advanced than themselves also retain the concept of money, rather than abolishing it.

(25) “Interstellar Protocol Alliance.” According to his description, it seems to be a joint organization of advanced interstellar civilizations, whose function is to prevent interstellar colonization or the spread of technology to less advanced planets. Surprisingly, the Gokians managed to bypass their inspection with Zhang Xiangqian (like evading customs) and send him back to Earth. (I think this is probably the most astonishing setting in the entire work. If true, it would explain the Fermi Paradox and why we haven’t seen large-scale alien technology.)

“How did you get past the ‘Interstellar Protocol Alliance’? The ‘Interstellar Protocol Alliance’ requires that every person from a lower-level civilization who visits an advanced civilization’s planet must have their technological memories erased upon return, especially memories related to time, space, and the nature of fields.” “‘Levin said’ (excerpt from Chapter 38, ‘Meeting the Scientific Giant of Gok Planet,’ of Adventures on Gok Planet)

“Norton said: ‘This is their own scanner. It can scan some consciousness information in your brain. The ‘Interstellar Protocol Alliance’ wants us to delete some of your memories of Gok Planet. They are just checking; if there are still remnants, they will delete them themselves, or they will ask us to delete them again.’… A person walked into the room. This person was wearing a bodysuit that covered their head, with a thick black tube connected to their buttocks from the back of their head. They were holding a microphone-like device pointed at my head and staring at a small virtual computer screen… Sure enough, soon black squares kept appearing in my mind, with a bright light flashing rapidly in the center of each square.” “(Excerpt from Chapter 40, ‘Going Home,’ of Adventures on Planet Goke)

(26) Utilizing space to store and retrieve information. The Goke people believe that space can store an enormous amount of information, and consider this the most advanced way to store information. They are investing a large amount of resources in researching related technologies:

‘Any place in the universe can store all the information of the entire universe today, before, and after. In other words, the capacity of space to store information is theoretically infinite. However, in actual operation, the capacity of space to store information is constrained by other conditions. Although it is not infinite, the capacity of space to store information is still terrifying in the eyes of you Earthlings.’ (Excerpt from Adventures on Planet Goke)

(27) Information from Earth’s history. The Goke people say that they have visited Earth many times in history and recorded a large amount of information. They showed Zhang Xiangqian their recorded video materials from the Tang and Song dynasties. Zhang Xiangqian said that he was disappointed after seeing them; they were not as good as he had imagined:

‘The images are three-dimensional virtual stereoscopic, extremely clear, and have sound. However, the colors are not vibrant enough.'” On the planet Gok, everything was vibrant and colorful, creating a stark contrast (to these scenes). What was most visible was the living conditions of ordinary people; they were emaciated, dressed in tattered clothes, with large sections of their arms and legs exposed. Very few wore long garments. The adults had very dark, rusty skin, like the skin of Tibetans before liberation; the children’s skin was more pleasant. They worked in the fields, with a few jars nearby. It was similar to what we see in movies and TV shows today, but everywhere was dilapidated, clothes were tattered, and their dwellings were also in a state of disrepair. (Excerpt from Zhang Xiangqian’s WeChat public account article “Zhang Xiangqian, what would real videos of the Tang and Song dynasties look like on Planet Goke?”, September 18, 2023)

Furthermore, the Goke people told Zhang Xiangqian their view on the origin of life on Earth, believing that life originated from lightning:

“Lightning strikes nitrogen in the air, producing complex macromolecules, which then fall into water, forming some simple amino acids and proteins. These amino acids and proteins produced some of the earliest self-replicating viruses, which then gradually evolved from lower to higher levels of complexity… Early lightning strikes caused nitrogen to fall into small ponds and ditches on land, forming early life, while life in the ocean flowed from these land-based ditches, ponds, rivers, and lakes.” “(Excerpt from Adventures on Planet Goke)

(28) The Evolutionary Origin of Intelligent Life. Zhang Xiangqian said that they believe intelligent life in the universe can be roughly divided into two categories from an evolutionary perspective: “terrestrial humans” and “aquatic humans.” “Terrestrial humans” are intelligent beings that evolved through land (they also classify birds in this category), while “aquatic humans” are intelligent beings that evolved through the ocean. They believe that it is much more difficult for “aquatic humans” to evolve intelligence than “terrestrial humans,” requiring a very long evolutionary process, but they are more likely to evolve powerful physical abilities (such as parasitism, “disassembling” themselves, etc.).

“Compared to terrestrial-evolved animals, aquatic-evolved animals cannot evolve hands and cannot manufacture or use tools and products for a long time. Therefore, their evolutionary process is very long, and some never evolve into advanced intelligent humans. … However, these aquatic-evolved animals have obvious physical advantages over hundreds of millions of years of evolution, and their various excellent physical properties are breathtaking.” …Some can disassemble their own bodies, mastering powerful parasitic abilities. By parasitizing other organisms, they control them, especially terrestrial animals, to create tools and products. …Aquatic organisms, living in water and utilizing buoyancy, can grow to enormous sizes. Even within the same species, there can be significant differences in size. These vastly different body sizes allow smaller humanoid species to parasitize them. “(Excerpt from Adventures on Planet Goke)

(29) The History of Planet Goke. Zhang Xiangqian said that Planet Goke was actually a galactic civilization, containing dozens of planets. “Goke” in their language means “I” or “we.” They had taken Zhang Xiangqian to many of these planets, including their home planet, “Silver Star,” where their civilization originated. Due to historical nuclear wars and pollution, their home planet was “ruined beyond recognition,” so they later migrated to another planet, which became their technological, cultural, and political center.

“They first lived on a home planet. When their technology developed to a certain level, especially after mastering light-speed flying saucer technology, they could travel quickly, cheaply, and safely across the stars. Only then did they begin large-scale interstellar development, gradually making some of the surrounding desolate, lifeless planets habitable.” “(Excerpt from Extraterrestrial Society and Daily Life (Part 1))

They suffered an accident during interstellar development, resulting in many deaths:

“We flew over a small planet and saw a huge, wrecked flying saucer covered in thick dust. Sudair piloted his saucer closer to the wrecked vessel and activated the scanning equipment to scan the interior. On the virtual imaging screen of the saucer, we saw the interior of the wrecked spaceship, which contained the skeletons of (Goke) people. Norton said, ‘These people were the pioneers of our Goke people’s early exploration activities. At that time, our Goke people did not have the ability to back up our consciousness. These people died and will not come back to life. These people are true heroes.'” (Excerpt from Adventures on Goke Planet)

They believed that smaller planets were not necessarily easier to develop than larger ones because their gravity was insufficient, requiring artificial fields to stabilize the air, which was costly and prone to accidents:

“On this planet, the flying saucer’s scanning imaging allowed us to see many houses, and many skeletons embracing each other inside.” Norton said, ‘This is a typical case of an artificial field malfunctioning. The air vanished instantly, and the planet’s inhabitants were on the verge of death. Most couples chose to die embracing each other. The early interstellar development of the Goke people was also fraught with danger. Now, on smaller planets, where it’s difficult to stabilize the air, we mainly use light to create virtual human settlements.’ (Excerpt from Adventures on Goke Planet)

They also once worshipped a binary star system in their galaxy called “The Lovers’ Twin Stars”:

“Some people also called them the Sister Twin Stars. Later, the Goke people could replicate themselves and achieve immortality, so the concept of ‘sisters’ disappeared, and now people just call them the Lovers’ Twin Stars again… The Lovers’ Twin Stars are very far from our Goke planet; from Goke, they are not easily noticed. However, the Lovers’ Twin Stars are not far from our home planet, Silver Star; from Silver Star, both the black and white planets appear very large and conspicuous.” …People in the Silver Age were fascinated by the Twin Stars of Love. Countless writers depicted it as a dream paradise for lovers, imagining it teeming with beautiful young men and women, where people didn’t have to work hard and could spend their days playing and enjoying the pleasures of love. …Later, our technology advanced, and people landed on the Twin Stars of Love, only to discover that both planets were utterly desolate, devoid of anything. The only difference was the surface material and the reflected light. “(Excerpt from Goke Planet Adventure)

After interviewing and communicating with Zhang Xiangqian, I completely disagreed with his imagination and knowledge level, which I felt were insufficient to conceive of such technology. Does this mean that Goke Planet Adventure might be real? I don’t know the answer. But this undoubtedly increases the possibility to some extent. I must admit that I have never read any works similar to Goke Planet Adventure, nor have I found any similar works overseas. If this is true, it might be the first work to record Earthlings living in extraterrestrial societies.

(1) In 2021, an anonymous American astrophysicist published an article titled “A Fundamental Explanation of UAPs,” which received high praise from some physics professors. The author used AI to enhance image quality, qualitatively analyzed some high-quality UAP sighting videos, and then attempted to analyze the possible motion principles of UAPs using existing physics theories. This article presents many very novel and interesting viewpoints, and I highly recommend everyone read it:

A Fundamental Explanation of UAPs

There’s also an incomplete Chinese translation on Zhihu:

The author believes that the UFO is clearly encased in a gravitational lens (a view never before proposed). He argues that the UFO actually moves along geodesics according to general relativity; in other words, it’s not flying in the desired direction, but rather warping the surrounding space and then free-falling in that direction, thus achieving immense acceleration without any force. The author believes that the creators of such a spacecraft must have a profound understanding of quantum gravity theory. (Given the current incompleteness of quantum gravity theory on Earth, he believes the creators of this spacecraft are not from any country we are familiar with.) Furthermore, he believes that we previously greatly underestimated the number of habitable extraterrestrial planets due to insufficient observational data, and this has now been corrected based on the latest data. He urges people to correct this misconception. (The author chose to remain anonymous to avoid controversy when posting on this topic.) 。)

Its content has many similarities to Zhang Xiangqian’s description. I think it’s obvious that the author and Zhang Xiangqian had never heard of each other, which may not be a simple coincidence.

(2)I think the UFO hearing held by the Brazilian government in 2022 is also worth watching (some speakers were so excited that they almost cried on the spot), and the quality is particularly high compared to the US hearing. There is a video with full Portuguese translation on Bilibili:

【Brazil UFO Hearing】(1/13) Full Chinese, everyone seated

(3)The “TicTac” incident of the US aircraft carrier Nimitz encountering aliens in 2004 is also worth watching, the evidence is sufficient (unfortunately, the US UFO hearing in 2022 did not release much content):

(4)Boyd, an old engineer at Lockheed Martin Before his death in 2014, Bushman filmed a revealing video in which he presented a large amount of physical evidence, claiming that aliens could indeed spend much less time in interstellar travel than they (calculated using relativity) expected. Perhaps aliens truly possess the technology to control the flow of time.

(5) Ning Li, a Chinese-American physicist, accidentally discovered some weak anti-gravity effects while researching superconductivity. Her early papers in the 1990s were successfully published and peer-reviewed, but she was subsequently secretly recruited by the U.S. Department of Defense and disappeared from public view. Until her death in 2021, her work remained top secret, unknown even to her daughter. The device Li created in her early experiments seemed to produce a changing, gravitational force field, which she called “AC Gravity.”

Bilibili has a blogger named Barely Sociable’s summary of Li Ning’s early papers and subsequent analysis of the event:

[Chinese Subtitles] Li Ning: The Chinese-American scientist who “disappeared” after discovering the “anti-gravity” phenomenon

In 2023, an American journalist interviewed Li Ning’s children. According to them, Li Ning had not “disappeared” as rumored online, but was working on highly classified projects for the U.S. Department of Defense.

The successive revelations by Nny B Crain and Bill Uhouse, along with the anonymous revelations of a former CIA employee dying of uremia, highlight the complex web of information. These individuals, strangers to each other, have revealed details spanning decades, all related to Area 51 and the secret S4 Air Force base. Their accounts contain numerous corroborating statements, raising suspicions that some may be true. These whistleblowers claim that the secret base harbors multiple UFOs and that extraterrestrials are secretly working for the US military.

(7) Luis Elizondo, a former senior Pentagon official and head of the AATIP (Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program) project, said in an interview in October 2024 that the UFO (UAP) phenomenon is completely real and that the technology is not from Earth. He described himself as a very data-driven fact-teller who doesn’t care about others’ opinions or speculations. The US government currently possesses a large amount of data from radar, infrared cameras, and testimonies from professional fighter pilots, and shares this data with several countries in South America, Japan, and Europe.

(8) In July 2023, an extremely surprising anonymous post appeared on Reddit. The poster claimed to be a molecular biologist who, from the 2000s to the mid-2010s, conducted dissections and research on the remains of extraterrestrial life forms in a highly classified underground biological laboratory at the Battelle National Biodefense Institute in Fort Detrick, Maryland. (Surprisingly, this location coincides with the location where Pentagon official Luis Elizondo recently revealed that the US had hidden extraterrestrial remains.) The author explicitly stated that these extraterrestrials were products of genetic engineering and meticulously described all the structures and functions of the extraterrestrial bodies he had studied. The entire post used a large number of biological terms, demonstrating a high degree of professionalism and logic, and the author did not show any flaws in answering many professional questions in the comments section. The author claimed he understood that revealing this information would cause social unrest, but he worried that the longer these secrets were kept, the more detrimental it would be to the public.

(Original post on Reddit: From the late 2000s to the mid-2010s, I worked as a molecular biologist for a national security contractor in a program to study Exo-Biospheric-Organisms (EBO). (9) At the 1998 International UFO Conference, a retired military officer named Edgar Fouche claimed in a speech that there was a secret project within the US military called “Aurora,” involving a triangular anti-gravity aircraft called TR-3B, whose structure was extremely advanced and beyond the comprehension of the world. He and five of his friends, all of whom had worked at Area 51, have chosen to release this information to force the U.S. military to disclose the technology for the benefit of the world. He claims that the TR-3B prototype was approximately 60 meters in diameter, with the production version expanding to 180 meters. It is nuclear-powered, featuring a plasma acceleration ring at the bottom, constructed using magnetohydrodynamics. This ring contains a plasma that, after being cooled to -120°C and subjected to 250,000 atmospheres of pressure, generates a force field capable of counteracting approximately 89% of gravity, thus giving the aircraft astonishing performance. (https://b23.tv/ZBxarwl)

These descriptions are highly similar to Zhang Xiangqian’s own descriptions of UFO principles.

Thornton Duard “T.D.” Barnes, an engineer who claims to have worked at Area 51, denied Bob Lazar’s experience working at Area 51, but avoided questions about Edgar Fauci without confirming or denying it. (Personal speculation: Bob Lazar likely infiltrated Area 51 as an outsourced employee by falsifying his academic credentials. He learned some secrets through various means and then hastily leaked them to the media, never actually working at Area 51. Edgar Fauci, however, may have indeed worked at Area 51.)

  1. My evaluation of Zhang Xiangqian’s works:

I believe Zhang Xiangqian’s works can be roughly divided into three categories: those that are relatively valuable and worth reading, those that are not very valuable or not worth reading, and The Unified Field Theory. Since many people are paying attention to Zhang Xiangqian’s The Unified Field Theory, and it is highly controversial, I will discuss my views separately for reference only.

(If you need the original or English translation of Zhang Xiangqian’s works, please contact me at any time; I will provide them free of charge. Please do not blindly trust any fundraising or other information on the internet, as it is likely a scam.)

(1) Relatively valuable and worth reading:

The Biography of Zhang Xiangqian, a Farmer from Anhui (the first 11 chapters) objectively describes Zhang Xiangqian’s life story in a first-person narrative. Its plain language, sincere emotions, and detailed illustrations make it the best source for understanding the entire background of the event and Zhang Xiangqian’s personal background. Furthermore, it offers a glimpse into the lives and changes of Anhui farmers from the perspective of local residents, perhaps possessing some sociological significance. (Chapters 12-27 are miscellaneous essays and notes written in his daily life. Additionally, Zhang Xiangqian added Chapters 28 and 29 during the National Day holiday in 2024, which also elaborate on his life.)

The Adventures on Planet Goke records, in plain language, an “account” or “travelogue” of an Anhui farmer who was taken to an alien planet in 1985 for a month. It contains various aspects of an alien civilization called “Planet Goke,” including its technological level, ideology, and details of daily life such as clothing, food, and shelter. Its authenticity is currently unknown. However, even from a purely science fiction perspective, it is still an extremely astonishing science fiction novel written by an Anhui farmer.

  • The Society and Daily Life of Extraterrestrials (Parts 1 & 2): A collection of essays written by Zhang Xiangqian about his extraterrestrial experiences, including Q&A with netizens and various miscellaneous essays. It can be read as a supplement to The Adventures on Planet Goke, answering and adding to much of the content.
  • Unveiling the Mystery of Extraterrestrial UFOs: Articles on UFOs compiled by Zhang Xiangqian. The content is quite mixed.
  • Zhang Xiangqian’s Prophecies for the Future: Some of Zhang Xiangqian’s ideas about future development. The content is quite mixed and relatively unimportant.

(2) Less valuable or not worth reading:

Zhang Xiangqian’s other messy articles, almost all poorly written, consistent with his educational level. These are a headache to read and not recommended at all. I will not elaborate further (such as his “love novels”).

(3) Zhang Xiangqian’s Unified Field Theory:

Initially, I directly categorized it as the second type. Because Zhang Xiangqian didn’t know how to use a formula editor at the time, the article was filled with formulas he typed himself using various symbols on the keyboard, making it very difficult to read. However, with the great help of netizens, he has now rewritten all the formulas using a formula editor, slightly improving readability.

It’s worth mentioning that after returning in 1985, while his memory was still sharp, Zhang Xiangqian wrote down what he considered important alien formulas in a notebook, but this notebook was torn up and destroyed by his short-tempered cousin:

“In the first few years, my memories were very clear in my sleep, and I could recall many details. I especially remembered many of their physics and mathematical equations. I vaguely knew these were important, so I wrote them down in a small notebook. Once, I left the notebook on the table, and my brother got it wet. I complained to him, saying that the contents of the notebook were important. After I left, my brother tore the notebook up, leaving only a small part on the table. I was very remorseful and hurriedly asked where the rest of the paper was. My brother replied that it was in the toilet. But I…” I couldn’t find it in the toilet, and when I asked my brother again, he ignored me. I was furious, but I didn’t argue with him; I knew it would be useless. He once tore up my junior high school graduation certificate because someone mocked him: ‘At least your brother graduated from junior high school, what are you? You didn’t even graduate from elementary school.’ Now, 39 years later, I’ve forgotten a lot of their scientific theories, as well as their mathematical and physical equations.” (Excerpt from “A Biography of Zhang Xiangqian, a Farmer from Anhui”)

Therefore, despite Zhang Xiangqian’s efforts to study and recall these formulas, it is still difficult to distinguish which formulas were originally given to him by the Gokexing people, which he may have misremembered, and which he supplemented with his own mathematical and physical knowledge after returning home. The whole work is like a mixed hodgepodge. But it cannot be said that it is completely without value; perhaps future researchers can pan for gold in the sand and see if there are any helpful viewpoints or ideas.

I think such an attempt will likely be extremely difficult. Here are some findings. (Although I am not a physics major, and my undergraduate studies only included general university physics (using the Feynman Trilogy), I would still like to venture to write this, and I hope you will forgive my ignorance.)

(1) Zhang Xiangqian believed that the gravitational field and magnetic vector potential are closely related, and that the strength of the gravitational field may even be directly proportional to the strength of the magnetic vector potential.

Zhang Xiangqian believed that the relationship between the electric field and the gravitational field is:

The relationship between the curl of the gravitational field and the magnetic field is:

(Excerpt from Zhang Xiangqian’s Unified Field Theory)

These two formulas are almost identical to the formulas for the law of electromagnetic induction and the principle of magnetic flux continuity. The difference is that the magnetic vector potential is replaced by a symbol representing the strength of the gravitational field in Zhang Xiangqian’s formula (he also used ), and a proportionality constant is added.

This indicates that Zhang Xiangqian believed that the strength of the gravitational field and the magnetic vector potential are closely related, and may even be directly proportional.

An anonymous netizen commented on this:

“Interestingly, considering the fundamental equations of mainstream physics, Einstein’s field equations (the fundamental equations of the gravitational field) and Maxwell’s equations (the fundamental equations of the electromagnetic field), we can find that the Weyl conformal tensor corresponds to the electromagnetic field tensor. Therefore, the connection (Christoffian notation) corresponds to the four-dimensional electromagnetic potential (EMF). The connection (Christoffian notation) also symbolizes the gravitational field strength, so the gravitational field strength and the EMF seem to be on the same level, which is very noteworthy.

Furthermore, the AB effect directly proves the important position of the magnetic vector potential A, which is a more fundamental physical quantity than the magnetic induction intensity B. If we use Zhang Xiangqian’s unified field theory to explain the AB effect, the magnetic vector potential is proportional to the gravitational field strength, meaning that the gravitational field deflects electrons, causing the electron interference fringes to shift.” (2) Zhang Xiangqian believes that space is in motion and moves in a spiral motion at the speed of light. He believes that the space around a positive charge moves outward in a right-hand spiral, while the space around a negative charge moves inward in a right-hand spiral.

Zhang Xiangqian’s drawing of a positive charge

Zhang Xiangqian’s drawing of a negative charge

An anonymous netizen pointed out that this rule does not conform to the CPT joint inversion symmetry. However, he doubted whether it could be corrected, for example, by believing that the space around antimatter moves in a left-hand spiral.

(3) Zhang Xiangqian said that his “momentum formula” in his “unified field theory” is

and believes that this is one of the most important formulas in his theory. However, this formula has always puzzled me. I don’t know what this
describes, nor do I know how to choose the direction of
. (Zhang Xiangqian believes that the speed of light

is a vector, its magnitude is constant but its direction is variable. And he said that this direction can be chosen “arbitrarily.”)

But recently I have made some discoveries: Zhang Xiangqian said in his live broadcast that when an object moves at high speed

,

, it remains constant, therefore the greater the speed

, the greater the mass

. The larger it is, the better. This aligns with the results of special relativity, so let’s compare it with the formulas of special relativity:

According to the mainstream formula of special relativity,

we have , which gives

, where

is the rest mass.

From Zhang Xiangqian’s formula,

we get

The two formulas are strikingly similar. What does this mean? I don’t know the answer.

I don’t really agree with Zhang Xiangqian’s theory. I think the mathematical level he demonstrates is roughly consistent with his junior high school education. His formulas are a jumbled mess and cannot be considered a theory. Considering that some readers may have limited mathematical abilities, I’d like to explain in detail what I mean by “cannot be considered a theory”: he often suddenly introduces concepts he cannot explain or understand deeply during his formula derivations, writing down formulas that seem inexplicable to others and difficult for him to explain. Such content cannot be considered a rigorous theory. I noticed this obvious phenomenon during my 2023 interview. Moreover, he often makes errors in his theoretical derivations due to his limited mathematical abilities.

(Although this phenomenon is interesting, as seen in the case of the famous American Stan Romanek…) The parties involved in this incident have experienced very similar situations. However, this matter is also questionable, and the topic would be far beyond the scope of this article, so it will not be elaborated upon further.

I also don’t entirely agree with his experiment. When I interviewed him in 2023, he hadn’t even started his experiment yet. He only began it later, when he was at his wits’ end without any help, and decided to do it himself. Much of the experimental equipment was salvaged from junkyards or assembled by himself. Such experimental equipment is bound to have a very large margin of error, making it difficult to determine what caused the observed phenomena. I believe that to verify the phenomena he proposed, the required experimental equipment, investment, and scale would likely far exceed his own expectations.

(Gravity itself is an extremely weak and difficult-to-detect force. Imagine if gravity were very strong, why didn’t you break through the floor and fall into the Earth? [Original text missing])

Because gravity is far too weak compared to electromagnetism. This is even considering the gravitational effect of an extremely large object like Earth.

(The above section was originally written in How to view Zhang Xiangqian’s submission of “Unified Field Theory” to Nature “in Review”?)

Objectively speaking, without his extraterrestrial experience, Zhang Xiangqian would just be an ordinary farmer with a junior high school education. His mathematical and physics knowledge is entirely self-taught, and his “Unified Field Theory” is currently an incomplete work. A judgment on this may only be made after greater progress in physics in the future.

Conclusion:

Zhang Xiangqian says that since he has this unique experience, his mission is to bring extraterrestrial technology to Earth to promote its technological development. He is extremely persistent in this, having persisted for nearly 40 years. He highly values the dissemination capabilities of the internet, saying he doesn’t care about money, only fame and publicity. He says that if he succeeds one day, his dream is to lecture at universities (see Zhang Xiangqian’s article “My Ideal is to Lecture at Universities” on his WeChat official account, July 19, 2024).

If the alien scenarios depicted are real, then their technology seems to be thousands of years ahead of Earth’s. A human lifespan of only about a hundred years is so short in comparison. I’m afraid I won’t live to see these technologies realized. But I still hope that people will actively explore and promote the progress of basic science, even if it’s just quietly persisting like Zhang Xiangqian. (Perhaps the current excessive focus on AI and neglect of basic science is a mistake.)

In 1900, Lord Kelvin delivered a lecture at the Royal Society entitled “The Nineteenth-Century Clouds Over the Theory of Thermal and Photodynamics,” arguing that the edifice of physics was already complete, with only “two clouds” remaining. Looking back now, these two clouds concealed a vast unknown landscape, and the gains from exploring them even surpassed what was then considered the “edifice of physics” itself. The theory of quantum gravity is still incomplete; could this same cloud also conceal a vast unknown landscape?

It’s worth mentioning that the Gokks believed: “How could (Zhang Xiangqian) build a flying saucer by himself? If he mastered the principles of flying saucers, and the people of his planet believed his theories, Earthlings would go crazy investing resources in developing flying saucers, just like Earthlings developed the atomic bomb. Only in this way would it be possible for Earthlings to create flying saucers.”

“Then how much does it cost to develop a flying saucer?” I (Zhang Xiangqian) asked.

“About the same cost as developing an atomic bomb on Earth.” “(Excerpt from Adventures on Planet Gok)

The Gok aliens believe that with Earth’s current technological level, another investment like the Manhattan Project could potentially create flying saucers. Perhaps then, we are not so far from reaching that level of technology.
